Covenant University Bans Female Students From Wearing Make Up And High Heels

Social media was in a frenzy as Covenant University students received another shocker from the management of the institution. The institution which is plagued by rules like the days of Moses in the land of Egypt received the latest rule stating that female university students are not allowed to wear make up.

Man with 86 Wives Sued Over Assault on Ex-wife

Magistrates’ court in Niger State on Friday ruled that it had jurisdiction to entertain an assault suit filed against Mabello Masaba, the man with 86 wives.  Masaba’s ex-wife, Azatu Adamu, on August 4, alleged that he, alongside 15 others, attacked and beat her up with an electric cable, causing her and the baby injuries.  In her ruling, the magistrate Sa’adatu Gambo, dismissed Mr Oluwole Oluranti’s (counsel to Masaba) application asking the court to disqualify itself from hearing the matter on the grounds of likely bias.  

Why Niger Delta Oil Theft Can’t Stop – General Boyloaf

One of the ex-militant leaders in the Niger Delta, Dr. Ebikabowei Victor Ben, alias ‘General Boyloaf’, has said that oil theft in the Niger Delta will not stop until the Federal Government takes appropriate steps to compensate the natives of the region. Boyloaf, who is one of the Niger Delta ex-agitators, who brokered the amnesty deal with the late President Umaru YarÁdua, said in Abuja that oil theft had soared in the region because the owners of the land where the oil facilities crisscross did not feel any sense of belonging after many decade of oil production.

Police Arrest Robbery Suspects In Ondo

Men of the Ondo State Police Command have arrested two armed robbery suspects who raided a filling station in Ondo town in the state capital. The robbers invaded the filling station, but were rounded up by a patrol team from Fagun Police station who raced to the scene following a tip off. However, three other members of the gang escaped with a loot totaling N250,000.

Workers Of Winners’ Chapel Attack Tax Officials In Ogun

Workers of the Living Faith Church, popularly known as the Winners Chapel allegedly attacked tax officials of Ogun State at the premises of the church in Ota. According to sources, tax men had gone to the Kingdom Heritage Nursery School, located within the premises of the Church Worldwide, when they were attacked.
