City’s New Signing Demichelis Sidelined for Over One Month.

The Argentina international moved to the Etihad Stadium from Atletico Madrid in a £4.2m deal last Sunday. He joins Belgium international Vincent Kompany, who is expected to be sidelined for another three weeks with a groin injury and Englishman Micah Richards, who has a hamstring strain, on the sideline.

20 Killed In Fresh Boko Haram Attacks In Borno

At least 20 people were feared dead, while several others sustained injuries, yesterday, when suspected Boko Haram terrorists launched separate attacks on Gajiram, the council headquarters of Nganzai and Bulabulin Ngawra Village of Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State. Two primary schools, a clinic and some residential houses were also set ablaze during the attacks.

The couple, Bassey Effiong (27), his wife, Glory (21) and her younger sister, Emem (16), were said to have packed to the house yet to be completed by Bassey.

Students under the agency of National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, yesterday, protested the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State capital, calling on the Federal Government to accede to the demands of the union.

19-year-old Housewife Jailed 3 Months For Cheating On Husband

An Abuja Magistrate Court, yesterday, sentenced a 19-year-old housewife, Blessing Bisala top three months imprisonment after she was found guilty of having “unlawful” s*xual relationship with her 34-year-old lover. Bisala was convicted after she pleaded guilty to the charge of adultery, for which she was arraigned by the police, while the lover pleaded not guilty.
