US Will Suffer If Syria Is Attacked, Iran Says
Allegations that the Syrian regime used chemical weapons last month
are a “pretext” by the West to attack the country, Iran’s Supreme Leader
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said. Iran is Syria’s main regional ally and has warned Western powers

Government May Shut Down If All ASUU Demands Are Met – Maku
If the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and other sectors
in the country insist on the total resolution of their problems,
government activities in the country risking shut down, the Minister
of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku, yesterday, said. Fielding questions from State House correspondents at the end of the
weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting yesterday, Maku noted
that the federal government had spent a lot on the development of
tertiary education across the country.
ASUU: The Strike Will Continue, Even If It Takes Years Until Our Request Is Granted
The lingering strike action embarked on by the Academic Staff Union
of Universities, ASUU, Chairman, Kogi State University Chapter,
Sylvester Osakwe Ukwuteno, has said the union is ready to fight until
their request is granted, even if takes more than a year, as he noted
that Ghana experienced a year and some months strike before the
government came to their senses and the outcome is currently obvious,
“we would do even more till our request is granted,” he stated.
