Boko Haram Terrorists Vow To Kill More Nigerian Soldiers & Attack The United States Of America
Nigeria-based home grown Islamic terrorist network, Boko Haram who killed 56 people in a recent attack in Borno State has vowed to kill more Nigerian soldiers.
In a video sent to some journalists in Nigeria yesterday, theleader of the sect, Abubakar Shekau debunked any victory asserted by Nigeria’s security forces.
“You soldiers have claimed that you are powerful, that we have been defeated, that we are mad people,”
“But how can a mad man successfully coordinate recent attacks in Gamboru, in Malam Fatori, slaughter people in Biu, kill in Gwoza and in Bama, where soldiers fled under our heavy fire power?
“We have killed countless soldiers and we are going to kill more. We can now comfortably confront the United States of America.” Shekau said in the local Hausa language.

Boko Haram terrorists who believed they have power over Nigeria are now vowing to confront America.
Hope the international communities are reading this.
It’s high time Nigeria request help from other countries before these blood thirsty jihadists cause more havoc.
APC Govs To Meet In Lafia To Formulate Strategies On 2015
The APC governors would be converging on Lafia, Nasarawa State capital on Wednesday to draw strategies on its action plans.
No fewer than 10 APC governors are expected to be at the meeting slated for Wednesday at the Presidential Lodge, Lafia.
To show its enthusiasm towards the hosting of the meeting, giant
bill-boards of the 11 APC governors have already been erected at
strategic locations apart from the one erected directly opposite the
Government House, Lafia.
Confirming the meeting on Monday, Gov. Tanko Al-Makura’s Chief Press
Secretary, Iliyasu Aliyu Yakubu said the maiden edition of the APC
Governors’ Forum in the state capital signals the beginning of good
tidings for the state.
In his words, “I want to say that APC is like a hurricane or tsunami
that will take anybody that stands on its way, just like a moving train,
so the state is privileged to host such august visitors in the month of
August.”
“The meeting will further expose our democracy in Nasarawa state and
give the governor another opportunity to sell himself better because he
belongs to APC, a party of progressives minded people.
“For APC governors to have agreed to come and converge on Lafia, it
is a privilege that we will never forget. The governor has visited the
meeting venue and every necessary thing has been put in place.
“The meeting will further consolidate our democracy in this state and the benefit for Nasarawa state is unquantifiable.”
My Father Started defiling Me from Age 8 – Daughter of MTV Video Director Confesses
Aziza Kibibi was only eight-years-old when her father – an MTV
award-winning music video director – started defiling her. By 10, Aswad
Ayinde’s lessons teaching his daughter ‘how to be a woman’ turned
violent and his regular defiling produced five children out of inc*st in
a perverse attempt to create a ‘pure’ bloodline.
Ayinde, who is also known as Charles McGill and won fame after
directing The Fugees’ ‘Killing Me Softly’ video, was sentenced to 50
years in prison on July 26, finally ending Kibibi’s nightmare.
The incredibly brave woman, who is now 35, married and running a
promising baking business, spoke out about the traumatic childhood this
week for the first time.
Kibibi revealed her childhood started off relatively normal. She
lived with her mother and father on the third-floor of an apartment in
Paterson, New Jersey, with her Jamaican immigrant grandparents living
below.
Kibibi was home-schooled but still allowed to play with the
neighbourhood children. When her family grew to include eight children
they moved into a bigger apartment in the same building.
It was when Kibibi started to mature that her father started giving her unwanted attention.
‘He told me I was special. Initially, it was to teach me to be a
woman,’ she said. ‘By the time he started having intercourse with me, he
was getting more and more violent. When I would start fighting him, he
would hit me. It was more about threats.’
Her father began to change, and became more controlling over the
family. He moved them out of their grandparent’s apartment to another
house in Paterson before relocating to Eatontown in Southern New Jersey.
The children were only allowed to watch a small amount of TV, and
nothing that depicted traditional family life.
Modern medicine was outlawed in the house, and he actually told his
wife that his relations with Kibibi were to treat her eczema.
Kibibi wasn’t the only one Ayinde was having s*x with. He had a
mistress – a Manhattan lawyer whom he had another two children with –
and was also abusing one of Kibibi’s sisters.
He called himself a polygamist and a prophet. His family was allowed to pray to god but could only do so through him.
‘He said the world was going to end, and it was just going to be him
and his offspring and that he was chosen,’ his ex-wife, Beverly Ayinde
testified at a 2010 pre-trial hearing. She said he was attempting to
create a ‘pure’ bloodline by procreating with his daughters.
When Kibibi’s first child was born without defects, Ayinde took it as proof and continued to r*pe the girl to get her pregnant.
But the following children would not be so lucky. Two further
daughters born from her father would be diagnosed with phenylketonuria
(PKU) a disease that prevents the body from breaking down amino acids.
PKU can cause brain damage and seizures.
Dr. Anna Haroutunian, a PKU specialist who has treated Kibibi’s
children, said they definitely got the disease because of inbreeding.
PKU is a recessive gene, so both parents must have the gene in order
for it to pass along to the child. The gene only appears at a rate of 1
in 4,000 worldwide and is must lower for African-Americans. Likely
Kibibi’s paternal grandfather had the gene.
Over the years, Kibibi became obsessed with escaping. She would sleep just because her dreams were better than real life.
‘I’d dream about running away. I’d dream about getting all my
brothers and sisters — one of my sisters was a baby, and I was taking
care of her — I’d dream about growing br**sts and getting milk and
running away with them somewhere,’ she said.
When she was older and one of her sons fell sick, she finally got the
courage to take him to the hospital since Ayinde was out of town on a
business trip.
But she didn’t know how to interact with the doctors and a social
worker stepped in, alerting the Department of Youth a Family Services.
When Ayinde returned from his business trip he was enraged, and threatened to forcibly remove his son from the hospital.
Child services stepped in before he could do that and placed them in separate homes.
After that Kibibi, her mother and her sisters moved away from Ayinde as she attempted to get her children back.
Her performance in state-mandated courses and counselling impressed
the government officials and eventually her children were returned to
her.
‘She has been an exceptional mother,’ Haroutunian said. ‘She was so
attentive and patient, it’s remarkable. For a young girl – with all
she’s had – she has been just wonderful.’
Having to fight to get her children back also empowered Kibibi, and
translated to her life after abuse. She now lives in East Orange, New
Jersey with her husband.
She went back to school for her GED and will finish her liberal arts
degree from Essex County College this fall. She also runs her own baking
business and plans to start a restaurant someday.
Kibibi and her sister decided to finally bring charges against their
abusive father. They delayed pressing charges since they were unsure the
affect it would have on the children.
She shared her story in hopes of making a difference with those in a similar situation.
‘Instead of just being an experience that I had, maybe this strengthened me. What doesn’t break us makes us stronger.’
Communal Clash In Benue Kills 6
At least six persons were feared dead in a fresh clashes between the
Tiv and Hausa/Kabawa communities at Gbajimba in Guma Local Government
Area of Benue State.
According to an eyewitness, the crisis which also left over 30
injured and several house burnt, was sparked off by an alleged attempt
by some Tiv youths to apprehend an Hausa/Kabawa youth who allegedly
assisted some Fulani mercenaries in a recent attack on Nzorov village.
“At the peak of the fighting between the Tiv natives and the Fulani
herdsmen, we noticed that most of the Hausa/Kabawa people residing in
Gbajimba took to their heels.
“Unfortunately, one of the Hausa youths was sighted fighting
alongside the Fulanis at Nzorov and when peace returned to the
community, members of the fleeing Hausa community made their way back to
Gbajimba.
“Regrettably, some of the Tiv youths recognized one of the young men
who fought alongside the Fulanis. He was accosted and an attempt by some
Tiv youths to arrest him degenerated into a major conflict but the main
suspect ran into the Gbajimba Police station for fear of being killed.
“The enraged youths, however, insisted that the Police must produce
the suspect to allow them mete out jungle justice on him. At that point,
there was tension in Gbjimba which led to a major conflict between the
two tribes, leaving some six persons dead, close to 30 sustained serious
injuries while houses and huts were also destroyed.
“Though we later heard that the suspect was moved from Gbajimba to
the state Police Command Headquaters in Makurdi for safety and
interrogation,” the eyewitness said.
Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Deputy
Superintendent Daniel Ezeala confirmed the crisis, but said the Police
were aware of only one death, adding that 27 suspects had been arrested
while Police had also beefed up security in the troubled community.
Drama In Edo: Teacher Can’t Read Her Document
The verification of certificates of primary school teachers in Edo
State ordered by Governor Adams Oshiomhole has started fishing out
unworthy teachers, with the discovery of one on Tuesday, who could not
read a sworn affidavit tendered as part of her credentials. The teacher, Mrs. Augusta Odemwinge of Asologun Primary School,
Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area of the state stuttered as she was
asked to read what was written on her affidavit before the state
governor.
Oshiomhole, who paid an unscheduled visit to the state Staff Training
Centre, venue of the exercise, said “if you can’t read, what do you
teach the pupils, what do you write on the board?”
The governor had on arrival at the centre, checked some of the teachers’ credentials and documents presented.
When it was Mrs. Odenwingie’s turn, the governor listened as he asked
her to read the affidavit she presented, but she stuttered, to the
consternation of everyone present at the venue.
Chairman of the state Nigeria Union of Teachers, Mr. Patrick Ikosimi,
who was also at the screening to monitor the exercise, said that the
woman’s failure was “an embarrassment.”
Ikosimi, who described Mrs. Odemwingie’s failure to read a document
she presented as an embarrassment, said the union was in tune with the
state government on the need to sanitise the school system.
“We are committed to partnering the government to reposition
education in the state. What this teacher has just displayed is a show
of shame; it shows the decadence in the education sector.
“As the chairman of NUT, I had written to the governor that we are in total support of what he is doing.
“He should properly involve the NUT, so that together we can fish out
the culprits, who are not viable as far as the system is concerned,”
Ikosimi said.
Kalu’s Ikoyi Home Sealed By Lagos After ‘Deportation’ Comments
A property belonging to former Governor of Abia State, Chief Orji
Uzor Kalu, located in Park View Estate, Ikoyi, has been sealed by the
Lagos State Government.
The sealing of the house may not be unconnected with Kalu’s strident
criticism of Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, over the
forced relocation of 72 residents of Lagos, who are of South-east origin
to Anambra State.
Amnesty International has in fact put the number of those that were
forcibly relocated by the Fashola administration at over 9,000.
There was speculation that the sealing might have been done in reaction to Kalu’s criticism of the forced relocation.
However, the state government has denied allegation of persecution,
saying the property was sealed over Kalu’s failure to pay the statutory
annual land use charge despite three separate notices.
Sources also say Fashola, on learning about the sealing off of the
property, had directed that it should be reopened, while he directed the
Land Use Charge agency to give Kalu an additional 14 days grace to pay
the levy.
Reacting to the allegation, Fashola said he had no reason to go
after. “To go after someone for freely speaking his mind? No, we’re not
that kind of person.”
Kalu, had on August 10, in his column in the Saturday Sun, decried
the action by the Lagos State Government, which he described as an
affront to the 1999 Constitution that guarantees citizens’ rights and
privileges.
“If Fashola did not know, let me tell him in plain language: his
unpopular action has placed him in the darkest part of history and drawn
the ire of the people. And he has not just one way of not writing
himself into the book of infamy and that is to make restitution over his
decision and offer unqualified apology to our people, especially the
families of those deported,” Kalu wrote in his column.
Speaking to THISDAY from New York, Kalu said he was informed that his
house had been sealed at about 4pm yesterday but he had no details as
to why the place was sealed.
“The Lagos State Government cannot intimidate me. It is a wrong thing
Fashola has done and he is pursuing the wrong person. He is not the
owner of Lagos. It is the wrong strategy on the part of the government,”
he said.
In another reaction to the incident, Kalu’s Special Adviser (Media),
Emeka Obasi, said it was done as a revenge for the criticism by Kalu,
who is the Coordinator of Njiko Igbo, a group fighting the cause of the
South-east.
Obasi said the property had been there for several years and that
sealing it after just two weeks of his boss criticising Fashola over the
forcible relocation of the Ndigbo was an indication that there was more
to it.
He added that Kalu was not the only Igbo to have suffered such fate
in Lagos State “after the wicked and ungodly act of deporting legitimate
residents of Lagos State.”
He said: “Why is it that it is now that the property is being sealed, barely two weeks after my boss disagreed with the action of Fashola?
He said: “Why is it that it is now that the property is being sealed, barely two weeks after my boss disagreed with the action of Fashola?
“We maintain our stand and this will not distract us from fighting for the people.
“The action of the Lagos State Government remains unconstitutional
because every citizen of Nigeria has a right to live in any part of the
country.
“Fashola should remember that the Igbo community constitutes about 35
per cent of registered voters in Lagos State and they should be treated
like they matter in the scheme of things.”
In a swift reaction, Fashola’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Hakeem
Bello, dismissed insinuations that the closure of Kalu’s home was in
connection with his criticism of the forcible relocation of some Igbos
hitherto resident in Lagos.
“We wish to state, for the avoidance of doubt, that nothing could be
further from the truth. The fact is that Mr. Orji Uzor Kalu’s property
in Park View Estate, Ikoyi was distrained pursuant to Section 40 of the
Revenue Administration Law of Lagos State for failure to pay the
statutory annual land use charge despite three separate notices
delivered to the said property,” Bello said.
Soldiers Beat Policeman To A Pulp In Delta
Soldiers on Monday, in Koko, Warri North Local Government Area of
Delta State attacked and injured police officers from Delta State Police
Command, who were on escort duty with the state Commissioner for
Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Anthonia Ashiedu. A police corporal who drove one of the police vehicles, was beaten to
a bloody pulp by the soldiers for allegedly blaring siren in the
premises of the Warri North Local Government Council, which is close to a
military outpost. He fainted in the process and was rushed to the
hospital for medical attention.
Sources say junior police police officers were planning a showdown
with soldiers in the state, as they said it has become a tradition for
them to attack police officers in the state without justifiable reasons.
Confirming the attack, State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ikechukwu
Aduba, said the soldiers accused the police officers of blaring siren
inside the secretariat of the council.
“It is sheer brutality. I have reported the matter to the Inspector
General of Police and contacted army authorities in the state, but they
said they did not authorize the assault.
“They told us that there is no bad blood, but there is bad blood. Why
did they attack fellow uniformed men in such a manner in the course of
their duty? We are making a formal report on the incident.
“My stand is that the soldiers responsible for this attack should be fished out and made to face the music.”
“The police officers from the B’ Operations Department of the Delta
State Police Command were on escort duty with the Commissioner for
Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Anthonia Ashiedu. It was an empowerment
programme for the less privileged by the state government and because
she was carrying some money for the programme, they requested police
escort,” a source told Vanguard.
“As it is usual on such occasion, the siren was on when they entered
the premises of Warri North Local Government Coucil and about eight
soldiers came from a nearby outpost and asked the police driver,
Corporal Ekome, to frog-jump.
“The police officer that led the team came to tell the soldiers that
they should stop the confrontation, but the soldiers attacked him,
seized his rifle and tore the button on his uniform.
“With the atmosphere charged, more soldiers joined their colleagues
and insisted that the police driver must frog-jump, which he resisted.
“The soldiers descended on him, ignoring the appeal from other police
officers to stop creating a bad impression of Nigeria security
officials in the eyes of the public.
“Some of the policemen wanted to retaliate, but were prevailed upon by the crowd, which watched the show of shame with dismay.
“The commissioner was shocked by the incident as she stood watching
without knowing what to make out of the ugly show of power,” the source
said.
Manchester United will not sell Wayne Rooney at any price to Chelsea
Manchester United have taken the top-level decision that striker Wayne
Rooney will not be sold to Chelsea at any price and the club is prepared to take the potential risk of keeping an unhappy player, as per exclusive report from The Guardian.
Chelsea have already lodged two bids for the unsettled striker, in
the region of £23 million & £25 million with the hope of luring the England star, whose relationship with the club has deteriorated drastically since last season. It was understood that Rooney was left angry and confused by the comments of United new boss David Moyes, who publicly claimed that the former Everton star will play the role of a second-fiddle to Dutchman Robin van Persie. The United hierarchy is in no way prepared to bow down to the
increasing player power in modern football, knowing that the situation
could get messy and that the striker could hand in a transfer request or
go public with his desire to leave. However, even if he does either of
the two or both, the club are unlikely change their stance, that is, the
player is simply not for sale. Over the next few weeks, there will be a public request from the
manager that his nine-year’s contribution to the club has been
recognized by the United’s supporters. It represents a calculated gamble
from the Red Devils as at one hand Rooney wants to leave, while Moyes
will have his work cut out to bring him back to his old best. Further, it has been also revealed that at no point in this season,
United have put a value on the player or even talked about it. From that
point of view, Chelsea’s both bids are considered derisory. However,
financial matters are not important here. It is about giving the new
manager the best players to work with and ensuring the club’s status had
been preserved.
