Fabregas: Leaving Arsenal was the hardest thing I ever did

Cesc Fabregas was in the transfer-lime light throughout the summer. Premier League champions Manchester United chased the Spain international till the very end and went public about their desire (including the bids) to sign him. Whether there was any hint from the player is unknown, but in the end the deal didn’t materialize and Fabregas remained at the Catalan club.

Former Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool midfielder to sign for Getafe

Former Liverpool midfielder Yossi Benayoun will return to Spain after eight years, to join Getafe, after finding an agreement on wages with the Spanish side. The 33-year-old is now a free agent since leaving Chelsea and therefore is entitled to move to any club of his choice, despite the fact the transfer window is closed.

A lot has been said and written about Newcastle United’s shambolic transfer window. Despite appointing a Director of Football at Newcastle, Joe Kinnear, who is supposed to look after the transfer side of football, the Magpies have only landed a 16-year-old kid and Loic Remy on loan from QPR in the summer.

Ozil or not, does Wenger deserve a new deal?

Emirates seems to be the happiest place on earth at the moment. Arsenal fans needed that – a signing that will galvanize the entire camp. The mood and atmosphere has changed completely. Fans are overjoyed with their record signing Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid.

Expensive? Ronaldo and Bale fees nearly equal entire Barcelona squad

It irks to think that Ronaldo and Bale have jointly cost Real Madrid a figure close enough to buy the entire Barcelona squad. It really irks. La Liga is a two-horse race between Real Madrid and Barcelona. We all know that. The mode of operation of both the clubs are completely different. We also know that. Real Madrid is the world’s most glamorous club and are sitting cozy at the pinnacle of the money league table since times immemorial. Yes, we do know that too.
