Advice: I’m In Love With My Brother, What Should I Do?
Me and my younger brother have always been close, he’s 18, I’m 20 and recently we’ve seen our relationship blossom. I wish I were trolling, that what I’m about to tell you is a lie – but it’s not, please don’t judge me. It’s been this way for a month now, we’d always been typically close
siblings but ever since he broke up with his girlfriend, I would comfort
him and say “it’s alright, you’ll find someone perfect someday.” Last week we were in his room and I said those exact words, we looked into one anothers eyes and kissed. It felt weird, he came onto me but I reciprocated and before long we were french kissing on his bed, he was touching my knee. Then, of course, our parents returned and I felt wrong. Kind of gross, even. I went back to my room and cried. The next day we were home alone and
he kissed me again, things got out of hand and we were doing things to
each other, then we made passionate love and reclined into one anothers
arms. It’s been almost three days since we made love, we’ve been kissing
and doing other things whenever we can and I can honestly say that we
are in love. We’ve been planning our future together, and I’m beginning to think I
made a HUGE mistake – I love him, but I’m not sure if it’s like that. What should I do? I don’t condone what I did at all, please don’t
mock me, he came on to me and I was silly enough to get blown away by it
all.

Owan West Local council area of Edo State, were yesterday thrown into
mourning when a Catholic priest, Rev. Father Peter Ayala, was found dead
in his apartment Sunday morning before mass. The deceased, who was expected to conduct the morning mass at 7am was
reportedly cleaning his double-barreled gun inside his apartment within
the church premises, when the gun allegedly went off, killing him in
the process. According to The Nation,
the incident took place in the early hours of Sunday before the priest
dressed up for the mass, while worshippers were beginning to converge
for the worship service. The development expectedly threw the church into confusion as both
mass servers and church elders made frantic efforts to resuscitate the
priest who was lying prostrate, lifeless in his apartment.

16 Suspected Pipeline Vandals Arrested By The Army In Imo
Men of the Nigerian Army at Oguta local council area of Imo State
have arrested sixteen suspected pipeline vandals who have now been
handed over to the Imo state Police Command. The soldiers also recovered and handed over to the police many
vandalized pipes, equipment, a Mack truck, an L-300 Mitsubishi bus and a
trailer load of 40 feet eight-inch diameter pipes valued at over N5
million. Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mrs. Joy Elemoko,
disclosed this while parading the suspects in Owerri, adding that the
command arrested three of the six people who allegedly vandalized
underground optic cables belonging to Nigerian Telecommunication
Limited, NITEL. “Items recovered from the suspected vandals include a Mercedes Benz
truck loaded with optic cables worth about N10 million and a Toyota
Corrola car loaded with vandalism equipment,” the PPRO said. Mrs. Elemoko lauded the efforts of the army deployed to Agip flow
station at Akri, for successfully rounding up the 16 pipeline vandals. “Our strategic partners in crime fighting, the army, deployed to Agip
flow station at Akri, Oguta local government area, arrested 16
suspected pipeline vandals August 18, 2013, and handed them over to the
Command for investigation and prosecution,” Elemoko said. The State Police Command also stormed Ihiagwa, Owerri West local
council area of the state and arrested six suspected cultists allegedly
connected with the killing of Mbachu Samuel Chigozie, a youth corps
member serving in Cross River State. “The Command is worried that cult activities in tertiary institutions
are on the increase after it was brought to very minimal level in the
state. “A yet-to-identified student suspected to be a cultist of a rival
group, was shot and wounded. Four suspects are now with us”, the PPRO
said.
Luis Suarez now targeted by Real Madrid
The Los Blancos were linked with Suarez early in the summer but
the interests frizzled out as they concentrated on buying Gareth Bale
from Tottenham Hotspur. In the mean time, Premier League rivals Arsenal tried to lure the Uruguayan and had lodged two bids, but both were rejected. The saga took a nasty turn, as Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers
reacted angrily over his attempt to force through a move and even
ordered him to train away from the first team. In the end, Suarez
apologized to the players and the fans, while the Gunners conceded defeat in their chase. But, according to journalist Javier Matallanas, Madrid have re-opened
talks with the Reds over a possible transfer of Suarez. Rodgers has
said time and again that Suarez will not be sold in the summer, and with
only a week left in the transfer window, it will be interesting to see
how they react to Madrid’s offer. Madrid have Benzema and Morata as their main strikers, but the
Frenchman’s future has come under scrutiny in recent weeks despite his
agent cooling down talks linking him with Arsenal. Madrid are on the verge of making a record breaking signing of Bale,
but money won’t be a issue for them if they intend on making another big
money move for Suarez. The club could look to dispense with the
services of Coentrao, Benzema, Ozil and Di Maria, which would be more
than enough to pay for the arrival of Suarez. The question however is, if it is a ploy from the Spanish media to
unsettle Liverpool & Suarez? Or will this nightmare unfold in front
of the Reds right at the end?
Arsenal’s offer for Angel di Maria approved by Real Madrid
The Gunners were in preliminary talk with Madrid over a possible £26
million deal for Di Maria, who surely would drop down the pecking
orders, should Gareth Bale sign for the Los Blancos, which is nothing
but just a formality now. Arsenal were also targeting Madrid’s star striker Karim Benzema, but
it seems they’ll have to forfeit in the chase as his agent Karim
Djaziri, has recently quashed the rumours saying his client has never
had any discussions or contact with the Gunners. Arsenal has had a disappointing transfer window so far, having failed to lure any big names, despite Arsene Wenger given a hefty transfer war-chest of £70 million. After the opening day 3-1 defeat at the hands of Aston Villa, and followed by fans’ backlash, Wenger is looking to make late incursions in the transfer market and is determined to land few quality players. The Gunners have been linked with Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata, but Di Maria seems a rather easy target, considering the circumstances in the Spain’s capital club. The situation is more-or-less similar, when Madrid signed Cristiano Ronaldo for a world record transfer fee and sold out Wesley Sneijder
and Arjen Robben. Here, they are on the verge of acquiring another top
player, on a record breaking fee, which might leave the exit door open
ajar for players of top quality like Di Maria or Mesut Ozil. However, one cannot stop wondering – is Di Maria the right player for
Arsenal at the moment? Obviously, he is young and highly talented but
do the Gunners need a right winger? The money could have been utilized
at other areas, where it requires immediate attention. The Argentine
would be a marquee signing indeed, but a shinny toy, which Arsenal could
have done without. However, it would be premature to jump the gun regarding the signing
unless the player has put pen to paper for the Gunners, there has been
far too many false alarms this window for them, another one of the same
kind is the last thing the fans would want.
Can David Moyes break his Old Trafford jinx?

Tottenham may struggle to sign Erik Lamela
Tottenham Hotspur have been enquiring about AS Roma
forward Erik Lamela all summer, and had previously looked close to
sealing a £25M move to sign him. However, Roma manager Rudi Garcia has
stated he has no desire to let him leave against the club’s will. Last season, the 21-year old scored 15 goals in 33 Serie A games – making 5 assists. He plays primarily as a right-sided forward.
‘I said in pre-season, I wanted all the players in the squad to remain. Every coach would love to have a player who scores 15 goals per season and is a regular in the Argentine national team. Erik is in the squad, exactly like the other 22 players. I can’t do anything about the transfer market.’ – AS Roma manager Rudi Garcia.
Garcia did add how he would expect the club to give him the resources
to replace any players if they did indeed leave the side this summer,
but he’s hopeful he can keep his best players. Erik Lamela is regarded as one of the hottest young prospects in the world. He’s represented Argentina on three occasions, and has already played over 100 games at club level at the age of 21. Regarded as a very skilful dribbler, and a player who is a real goal
threat against any side, it’s no surprise to see the Argentine greatly
coveted by a host of clubs around Europe in recent weeks. Tottenham were said to be the favourites to procure his signature, but the deal is still on rocky ground. With the Serie A side having just sold striker Pablo Osvaldo to Southampton
for around £15M, they are in no need of money – nor do they want to
lose any more top players. The summer transfer window closes in
approximately a week, so the London outfit are running out of time to
sign him.
Willian could be the ‘Juan’ that ‘Matas’ in Chelsea’s Chase for Rooney
Chelsea want to sign Wayne Rooney,
but just how far are they prepared to go in order to get him? The
Blues’ signing of Willian, by intent or effect, may have created an
intriguing possibility that could just open the door to a deal – if
Chelsea are prepared to do business. The problem is that to get the England striker, Chelsea may need to lose Juan Mata.
Barkley to blossom at Everton under Martinez
It’s still early days, but the breakthrough player of the Premier League season so far has been Ross Barkley. The 19-year-old has been handed a starting place by Everton coach, Roberto Martinez, who has publicly declared his faith and excitement in the Englishman’s potential.
Arsenal ready to make a sensational swoop for United target Juan Mata
With just a week remaining in the summer transfer window, this has become an emergency tracheotomy for Arsenal.
The Gunners have yet to land a big name while it seems their major
targets are slipping away from their hands, one after another. Arsenal have been linked with an ambitious move for Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata,

Ghana will not fail; there will be no war – TB Joshua
Nigerian Prophet T.B Joshua has once again delivered another prophecy on
events happening in Ghana, assuring Ghanaians and the world that Ghana
will remain peaceful after the Supreme Court ruling on the election
petition on Thursday August 29. He says Ghana, noted for its respect for the rule of law and very
rich democracy, will demonstrate once more to the world that it has
strong institutions and will move on democratically after the court
delivers its judgment on Thursday. T.B Joshua, who was delivering a sermon on Sunday at his Synagogue
church in Nigeria, said he has received many calls from people saying
they are alarmed and would want to travel out of the country for fear of
chaos after the court rules on the election petition verdict. He said: “Ghanaians are people who set laws and obey their laws,
nothing will happen, it will continue to remain peaceful; they will
maintain their profile as a democratically peaceful country…sleep and
close your eyes, Ghana will not fail”. The 2012 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP),
Nana Akufo-Addo; his running mate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, and party
Chairman, Jake Otanka Obetsebi-Lamptey, are challenging the Electoral
Commission’s (EC’s) declaration of President Mahama as the winner of the
2012 presidential election. After 48 days of legal debates, the Supreme Court is due to deliver a judgment on Thursday August 29.
PDP Governors, Others Float New Party, Voice Of The People
No
fewer than five Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors have been
reported to apply to the Independent National Electoral Commission
(INEC) for the registration of a new party to be called ‘Voice of the
People’. The Governors purportedly behind the floating of the party are; Sule
Lamido (Jigawa); Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano); Murtala Nyako (Adamawa);
Babangida Aliyu (Niger); Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto); and Chibuike Amaechi
(Rivers). The five governors, who have been engaged in months of opposition to
the leadership of the PDP and the presidency, have kept sealed lips over
the new party. The VOP’s logo is said to be a single horse standing on its hind
legs, superimposed on a white colour with green and brown colours on its
right and left sides. Reports indicate that the application for registration of the Voice
of the People has been filed with INEC and a decision taken soon as the
governors and other unnamed financiers put finishing touches to the
needed requirements for registration.
