Empire star "Jussie Smollett" announces his time on Empire is over

Empire actor Jussie Smollett hinted at his departure via Twitter after his character was shot and rushed into surgery in Wednesday’s episode of Fox’s hit music drama.
As of Thursday morning, more than 2,000 fans had retweeted the message as Twitter users asked what it signaled for his character Jamal’s future. Smollett has been a fixture on the show since its debut in 2015, playing Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) and Lucious Lyon’s (Terrence Howard) gay son who transforms into a music superstar.

The actor has remained mum after sending out the tweet, and a rep for Smollett and Fox have not yet responded to EW’s request for comment.

Nigerian man nabbed in India with Marijuana worth Rs 1.95 lakh

The anti-narcotics cell (ANC) of the city crime branch on Monday  May 9, arrested a Nigerian man from Krushna Bazaar chowk in Sangvi, India for allegedly possessing Hashish (marijuana) worth Rs 1.95 lakh. A team headed by police inspector Shrikant Navale and assistant inspector Ajay Waghmare arrested Onyekachi Namika Uchenna (26), currently staying at Masjid Bundar in Mumbai.

NLC vows to resist fuel increase

The Nigeria Labor Congress, NLC, has vowed to resist the increment in petroleum product announced yesterday by the Federal government.
