Straight Edge Superstar seeking revenge after last week's savage beating at the hands of Brock Lesnar
CM Punk will finally get a shot at redemption when he steps into the ring with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. The Straight Edge Superstar recently suffered a brutal beating at the
hands of Lesnar, before Paul Heyman then betrayed him during his Money
in the Bank match-up. And now Punk wants payback, so he challenged the former UFC
heavyweight to a meeting at August’s pay-per-view when Raw visited
Austin, Texas last Monday. From the centre of the ring, Punk declared: "At Summerslam I want CM Punk against Brock Lesnar I want the best versus the Beast." Paul Heyman responded to his former client via satellite, as he
probably feared for his safety, after he blew Punk’s chances of winning a
number one contender contract at Money in the Bank last week. Now that the match has been scheduled, the former WWE Champion will
have a bit of time to recover from Lesnar’s savage beating, which left
him with whiplash, as well as strained knee and ankle ligaments.
Meanwhile fans have less than four weeks to wait for this epic
showdown between two superstars who have no love lost between them.
