Manchester United ready to meet €36m buy-out clause for Ander Herrera

Are Manchester United really going to sign a central midfielder? That too on the transfer deadline day? Rub your eyes. And again. Now read, the story. Manchester United are willing to pay €36 million for Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrara as David Moyes gets busy on the final day of the transfer window. The Red Devils had already lodged bids earlier for the 24-year-old, but the Basque-club demanded for the player’s buy-out clause to be met, and as per latest reports, the deal will be announced soon, once United pay the money, which they have agreed to do. Having said that the deal is far from over, as the player will have to undergo and pass the medical. Midfield is one of the areas Moyes wanted to reinforce in the summer. After their defeat at the hands of arch rivals Liverpool yesterday, any top signing will come as a welcome relief. But, the sheer thought of signing a midfielder is far more tantalizing on the transfer deadline day than anything else.
