Who knows, maybe by the time this year ends, the havoc kidney disease
wrought, or nearly wrought on the entertainment industry will be the
major talking point? There have been three highly publicised cases of kidney disease already. The first was that of Fuji House Of Commotion actress, Ngozi Nwosu.
Hardly had her own subsided than that of African Queen producer, OJB
Jezreel, took over. His received more publicity than Nwosu’s because he demanded for N16m
from the public for treatment, as against N6m requested by her. Shortly
after OJB’s, that of comedian De Don took over. In his own case,
however, it was his blood brother who needed a kidney and he valiantly
stepped up and donated one of his to him. And just like it wasn’t De Don who had a kidney problem, but his
relative, it has sensationally emerged that African Queen singer, 2face
Idibia, is also having his own kidney issues through his father who is
said to have kidney disease. 2face’s father is said to have had his own kidney problem before
OJB’s own surfaced and a school of thought claims it’s the reason why
2face kept a low public profile regarding OJB’s. And when Entervaganza called 2face’s publicist, Bayo Omisore, he
didn’t deny it but bluffed his way around it. “Even if it’s true,” he
conceded, “it’s a private affair. 2face has his own private life and
this is private.”
