Peter Apologises For Twitter Outburst Against Jude “Engees”

PSquare have been in the news in the last two days. Peter Okoye went on a Twitter rant calling out Jude Engees Okoye, their manager as he attempted to dissociate PSquare from Northside Entertainment. Peter’s twin brother, Paul Okoye, distanced himself from Peter’s rants on Twitter which you can read about here.

Premier League have decided to offer English clubs a cash incentive to do well in the Europa League from next season. After a series of disappointing displays in Europe from the English clubs, there have been serious concerns over the division’s UEFA coefficient. Rooney out for two Months

Diego Simeone agrees to become Chelsea manager


Chelsea have agreed to a deal with the Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone to take over from Guus Hiddink at the end of this season.

The Dutchman was always going to be a short-term addition for the Blues and it seems Abramovich has not found his long-term replacement for Jose Mourinho.

Spanish publication okdiario reports that the Argentine manager has agreed to a deal with the Premier League champions worth around 12 million Euros per season. The report also claims that the Sevilla manager Unai Emery is the set to replace Simeone at the Calderon.

Train Crushes Deaf And Dumb Graduate To Death In Lagos

An handicap man, simply identified as Ibrahim was killed on Tuesday when a Commuter Rail train struck him at the Oyingbo area of Lagos State.

According to the reports by PUNCH Metro, Ibrahim, a deaf and dumb graduate, was walking along the track around 2 pm when a train that just took off from the Iddo station crushed him to death.

Residents said efforts to save the victim were abortive as he did not respond to alerts until it was too late. His body was said to have been cut into two while his arms and legs were chopped off.

Why Rihanna cancelled her #Grammys performance



TMZ reports that Rihanna has reportedly cancelled her Grammys performance. The singer pulled out of the ceremony, after doctors told her to rest. The Barbedian singer is said to be suffering from bronchitis and is taking medication for the problem. A doctor on site at Los Angeles’ Staples Centre, where the Grammys are being held, has allegedly told her not to perform in case she permanently damages her vocal cords.
TMZ reports a representative for the singer has confirmed Rihanna has been on antibiotics for the last three days and has been put under vocal rest for 48 hours.
Other performers still to come at the Grammys include Lady Gaga’s tribute to David Bowie, and James Bay collaborating with Tori Kelly.

Nigerian govt. sacks 13 University Vice Chancellors

The Federal Government has sacked the Vice Chancellors of 12 federal universities established by the Goodluck Jonathan administration.
Also affected by the sack is the Vice Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria, Prof. Vincent Tenebe.
In the statement announcing the sack, the government gave no reason for the action.
A short statement by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu in Abuja, on Saturday, simply said President Muhammadu Buhari, had approved the appointment of new Vice Chancellors for the Universities.

Almost a year after she was rescued from Boko Haram captivity by the Nigerian army, Zara John, 16, is still in love with one of the fighters who abducted her.
She was delighted to discover that she was pregnant with his child following a urine and blood test carried out by a doctor in the refugee camp to which she was taken after her rescue.

Boko Haram attack: Children burned alive in Nigeria

At least 86 people, including a number of children, have been killed in a series of attacks on a village in north-eastern Nigeria, according to officials.
Witnesses said that suspected Boko Haram fighters firebombed huts and opened fire on civilians on Saturday evening in the village of Dalori, leaving bullet-ridden and charred bodies strewn across the streets. Gunmen also tried to storm a camp close to Dalori, home to some 25,000 refugees, but were repelled by troops.
