Why Rihanna cancelled her #Grammys performance
TMZ reports that Rihanna has reportedly cancelled her Grammys performance. The singer pulled out of the ceremony, after doctors told her to rest. The Barbedian singer is said to be suffering from bronchitis and is taking medication for the problem. A doctor on site at Los Angeles’ Staples Centre, where the Grammys are being held, has allegedly told her not to perform in case she permanently damages her vocal cords.
TMZ reports a representative for the singer has confirmed Rihanna has been on antibiotics for the last three days and has been put under vocal rest for 48 hours.
Other performers still to come at the Grammys include Lady Gaga’s tribute to David Bowie, and James Bay collaborating with Tori Kelly.

Nigerian govt. sacks 13 University Vice Chancellors
The Federal Government has sacked the Vice Chancellors of 12 federal
universities established by the Goodluck Jonathan administration.
Also affected by the sack is the Vice Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria, Prof. Vincent Tenebe.
In the statement announcing the sack, the government gave no reason for the action.
A short statement by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu in Abuja,
on Saturday, simply said President Muhammadu Buhari, had approved the
appointment of new Vice Chancellors for the Universities.

Rescued Nigerian girl longs for Boko Haram 'husband'
Freed by soldiers, Zara, 16, says she would rather be with the Boko Haram fighter who abducted and impregnated her.
Almost a year after she was rescued from Boko Haram captivity
by the Nigerian army, Zara John, 16, is still in love with one of the
fighters who abducted her.
She was delighted to discover that she was pregnant with his
child following a urine and blood test carried out by a doctor in the
refugee camp to which she was taken after her rescue.
