Watch out Kanye£West, it seems Taylor Swift doesn’t intend to lie down and play dead!
Kanye West once gained notoriety for interrupting Taylor Swift while she was delivering her speech for winning the ‘Best Music Video’ at the MTV video music awards. Kanye hasn’t quite decided to let Taylor Swift live down the moment, making reference to her on the song ‘Famous’ off his recently released album.
“I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / I made that bitch famous.”
Kanye defended the line yesterday when he claimed he has sought Taylor Swift’s permission before using her name in the song. However, Taylor Swift’s representatives denied this and said Taylor Swift had no knowledge of it.
Receiving her award for the Album of the Year at the Grammys, she expressed her joy at being the ‘first woman to win Album of the year at the Grammys twice’.
Her speech then took a turn as she added, ‘I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame, but if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you. someday when you get where you’re going, you’ll look around and you will know that it was you”
