Leaders of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU)
yesterday moved from Abuja to their respective campuses expecting
crackdown, as the Federal Government has issued several threats. President Goodluck Jonathan might no longer be directly involved in
negotiation with the lecturers: he is angry for the ASUU leaders’
contempt for the office of the President, their decision to issue new
conditions and then being allegedly backed by some external forces.

5 Die In Accident As Commuter Bus Skids Off Road In Zamfara
Five persons died in an auto crash when a 10-seat Sharon bus skidded
off the road at Tudun-Gara village near Kaura Namoda in Zamfara on
Saturday. Alhaji Muktar Fago, Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC’s Unit
Commander in the zone, said the carnage occurred at 6.30 am, about 10
kilometers into Kaura-Namoda/Sokoto road.
