Chelsea lining up shock move for Christian Atsu – How many wingers do they need?

Premier League giants Chelsea are lining up shock move for Porto winger Christian Atsu and as per reports from The Mirror; the Blues are set to seal the £3.5 million signing before the transfer window closes down. Sky Sports sources are also reporting that the Blues are in advanced talks to sign the highly talented winger.
The 21-year-old was one of the summer targets for Liverpool, but the Reds decided not to follow up their interest with a formal offer for the Ghana international. The winger was also tracked by   Tottenham manager and his former boss Andre Villas-Boas during the summer. As it stands, Atsu, who has a year remaining on his contract is now set to travel to West London for a medical and to discuss personal terms. It is still unclear at this stage, whether he holds a place in immediate plans of Jose Mourinho or not or could be sent on loan as well. Chelsea have also agreed the £30 million deal for Anzhi Makhachkala attacking midfielder Willian and will be looking to conclude the necessary formalities within this week. One cannot stop helping but ask why Chelsea are buying so many wingers/attacking midfielders when other areas of the pitch need immediate attention. At the point of writing, Chelsea have Hazard, Oscar, Mata, De Bruyne, Schurrle and Moses it their ranks who are attacking midfielders and can play on the flanks. Also, the squad needs to accommodate Willian too.
Mourinho will have plenty of options to choose form, but all these players are too good to warm the bench. It will therefore be interesting to see, how Mourinho keeps his squad happy with so many good players vying for limited places.
