Some government officials in Ogun State have been indicted of stealing N31 million in the report submitted by a panel of enquiry set up by the state government to probe the alleged mismanagement of N200 million paid by the government as West African Examinations Council, WAEC, Senior Secondary Certificate Examination, SSCE fees.

President Goodluck Jonathan has sacked the Minister Of Youth Development, Alhajui Inuwa Abdulkadir. The sack of the minister, who was appointed last year to replace former Minister of Sports, Alhaji Yusuf Sulieman, who resigned his ministerial appointment to enable him contest the Sokoto State gubernatorial election then, was announced in a statement issued by the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. The statement terminating the Abdulkadir’s appointment reads: “His Excellency Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR President and Commander –in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria has relieved Inuwa Abdul-kadir, Esq of his appointment as Honourable Minister of Youth Development with effect from the 26th of August, 2013. “The former Minister is to hand over to the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development. Mr. President expresses appreciation to the Former Minister for the time he put in the services of the nations and wishes him success in his future endeavours.”
