On your back

Sleeping on your back with your arms at your side is generally considered to be the best sleeping position for spine and neck health as long as you don’t use too many pillows. Buct sleeping on your back could make you to snore more than in any other position.

Experts say sleeping on your back may also help to prevent facial wrinkles and skin breakouts. Stomach

Sleeping on your stomach can improve digestion but can put strain on the neck because you need to turn your face sideways in order to breathe. Sleeping face down can also cause back pain, as the curve of the spine is not supported.

Fetal position

Sleeping  like a fetus can have you sleeping like a baby if you typically have problems with snoring or if you’re pregnant. This position curled up with knees drawn up and  chin tilted down might be comfortable but is bad for the back and can restrict deep breathing.

Side When you’re sleeping on your side with both arms down, the spine is best supported in its natural curve. This can definitely help reduce back and neck pain while also reducing sleep apnea. But this can contribute to acial wrinkles and sagging br**sts.
Any side sleeping can cause shoulder and arm pain due to restricted blood flow and pressure on the nerves, which may be worsened by having your arms out in front.

On your right side
If you’re a side-sleeper, which side you sleep on also makes a difference. Sleeping on the right side can worsen heartburn while sleeping on the left side can put strain on internal organs like the liver, lungs, and stomach. For pregnant sleepers, doctors advise sleeping on the left side, since this can improve circulation to the fetus. You can get a better night’s rest with less pain in the morning by supplementing your body with a pillow.

Leader Of Boko Haram Faction In Official Talks With FG Claims Responsibility For Deadly Kano Bombings, Says Abubakar Shekau Still Alive

Self-appointed leader of Boko Haram, Mohammed Marwana, who is purportedly in negotiations with the Presidential Committee on Dialogue and Peaceful Resolution of Security Challenges in the North, yesterday declared that his faction carried out the deadly multiple bombings that killed over 30 people in the Sabon-Gari area of Kano State last week.

Marwana, who claimed to be second-in-command to leader of the radical Islamist sect – Imam Abubakar Shekau – before he deposed him for refusing to embrace peace as proposed by the Federal Government, stated that the attacks were carried out as a warning to clear the air over any doubts as to whom the authentic leader of the sect is now.

According to an audio message obtained by Saharareporters, Marwana was quoted as saying in Hausa language:

“I personally instructed the attack in Kano to prove to the world that, I am the real leader of Boko Haram because there have been retrogressive forces on the issue of dialogue, who kept doubting my leadership in the sect. I told them ahead that there will be attack, and it has happened. It is a warning, and we need to say again that we carried out the attacks in Kano”.

Marwana also debunked speculations that Imam Shekau is dead. According to him, as at the time he recorded the audio, the deposed sect leader was alive and that nothing has happened to him except that he lost leadership of the sect.

His stance is in response to media reports corroborated by military authorities that Shekau was shot in the arm and thigh for stubbornly refusing to stop carrying out attacks and negotiate a cease fire deal with the FG.

“Shekau is alive contrary to speculations, except that he lost leadership of the sect. I will not tell you where he is, but he is alive, and we talked with him not up to three hours ago, except if he died while I am talking,” he was again quoted as saying.

Breaking: Rivers State Deports 113 Non-Indegenes To Their Home States

Nigeria’s Rivers state government has sent to their home states, some of the 113 beggars and lunatics removed from the streets of Port-Harcourt, the capital city. And the state has warned it will soon embark on another removal exercise.

The Chairman of the committee, Mr Mina Jamabo, said of the 113 beggars, destitute and lunatics removed from the streets,some had been taken to the state’s rehabilitation centres for treatment.

Jamabo said that non-indigenes had since been repatriated to their various states, while the indigenes would be treated by the government until they were fit to re-unite with their families.

Jambo did not give the figure of the destitute sent to their home states.

Mrs Stella Toby, Permanent Secretary in the state’s Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation however unfurled government fresh plans to remove beggars and destitute from streets in the state.

She made the announcement in an interview with newsmen in Port Harcourt on Monday.

She said that beggars, destitute and mentally-ill people were constituting problems on some major streets and roads in the state.

Toby said the State Government had set up a special committee charged with the responsibility of restoring sanity on major areas of the state.

“Most of the beggars are from neighbouring states and I can assure you that they will be removed from the streets and repatriated back to their respective states,” she said.

A similar exercise by the Lagos State Government recently generated bad blood between Governor Raji Fashola and Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State. Fashola’s government had sent home 14 rehabilitated destitute to Onitsha in Anambra state.

[UPDATE] Gov. Fashola’s Father Passes On

Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos State is bereaved as he lost his father, Mr. Ademola Fashola on Monday morning in Lagos.

It would be recalled that the older Fashola was ill and had to be flown to the United States of America sometime last year in May for medical treatment.

Latest news reaching Information Nigeria indicates that Mr. Ademola Fashola gave up the ghost in the early hours of Monday at an undisclosed hospital in Lagos, at the age of 79.

Confirming the death of the governor’s father was Mr Hakeem Bello, Special Adviser to Fashola on media, who is in Saudi Arabia with the governor performing the lesser hajj.

He said the state government would soon issue a statement giving details of the burial arrangement just as unconfirmed reports say Gov. Fashola is already on his way back home after learning of his father’s demise.

Bird Accused Of Working For Intelligence Agency Freed

Turkey released a bird it accused of working for Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency.

According to local media, the bird was set free following an X-ray examination that determined it was not equipped with a microchip or other bugging device.

Turkish authorities had detained the bird after residents of the Altınavya village had become suspicious upon finding a metal ring around its leg stamped with the words “24311 Tel Avivunia Israel.”

The tag reportedly was placed on the bird in order to track migration routes.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested one Kingsley Mudi over alleged ATM fraud.

He was picked up at about 11 pm on August 2, 2013 at Fidelity Bank ATM on Airport Road, Warri, Delta State following an intelligence report.
At the point of arrest, 30 ATM cards of different banks with which he allegedly withdrew a total sum of five hundred and fifty thousand naira (N550, 000) were found in his possession.  Eight signed UBA cheques belonging to sundry persons were also found on him.
Kingsley Mudi, who claimed to be a Disc Jockey and an operator of a barbing salon, has volunteered useful information.
He will be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.
