Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos State is bereaved as he lost
his father, Mr. Ademola Fashola on Monday morning in Lagos.
It would be recalled that the older Fashola was ill and had to be
flown to the United States of America sometime last year in May for
medical treatment.

Latest news reaching Information Nigeria indicates that Mr. Ademola
Fashola gave up the ghost in the early hours of Monday at an undisclosed
hospital in Lagos, at the age of 79.
Confirming the death of the governor’s father was Mr Hakeem Bello,
Special Adviser to Fashola on media, who is in Saudi Arabia with the
governor performing the lesser hajj.
He said the state government would soon issue a statement giving
details of the burial arrangement just as unconfirmed reports say Gov.
Fashola is already on his way back home after learning of his father’s
demise.
