Governor Rotimi Amaechi’s wife, Dame Judith, has commiserated with
the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan over the death of her foster
mother, Mrs Charity Iwari Oba (Sisi Mama). The Rivers State governor’s wife in a press statement signed by her
media aide, Dike Bekwele, described the death of Mrs Oba as a great loss
to Rivers State. Mrs Amaechi said she was very devastated by the news of the death of
Mrs Oba, who died in a fatal auto crash on Elele road en route Bayelsa
State on Monday. She stated that Mama Oba’s death occurred when her motherly role and
wealth of experience was needed for the nation’s building and prayed the
almighty God to grant the First Lady and Oba’s family the fortitude to
bear the loss.
