Arsenal will struggle to win trophies next season

There is no doubt that Arsenal fans are amongst the most optimistic in the Premier League.

Year in, year out, they have a belief that this could be their season. However, this expectation always seems to be short-lived, as the Gunners never fail to show they are still a mile away from the team they used to be. One promising thing for Arsenal fans however, is the calibre of players that are being with a move to the Emirates. Luis Suarez could well yet still make a huge money move to North London before the end of the current transfer window. Current targets Juan Mata and former star Cesc Fabregas are a hell of a lot more exciting than the likes of Sebastian Squillaci and Andre Santos, who were both brought into the club in the past few years.  Even so, Arsenal are yet to add any big name players to their squad, and with what seems to be a failure to capture Real Madrid star Gonzalo Higuain, this summer could once again turn out to be a disappointing one for the Arsenal faithful. It once again seems unlikely that Arsene Wenger’s men will be able to really challenge the top teams next term, and a fourth place battle with North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur seems pretty inevitable come the end of the 2013/14 season.
